TR-CL501A is designed for the testing of chlorine dioxide and chlorite in drinking water and waste water. It can be used for fast test and laboratory standard test of water quality in many fields such as city water supply, food industry, pharmacy and so on.
OVERVIEW
Chlorine dioxide, a good water disinfectant, is getting more and more popular in drinking water disinfection field, but it also has a weakness, that is the chlorite (by-product) will be excess if the procedure is out of control. According to the report of the ministry of health, if human being touch excess chlorite for long a long time, the red blood cells may change. Therefore, the government adds chlorite as an indicator for water quality control in“standards for drinking water quality GB/5749-2006”, which says that the concentration of chlorite in drinking water (disinfected by chlorine dioxide) should be less than 0.7 mg/L.
TR-CL501A portable colorimeter that can test chlorite and chlorine dioxide at the same time, the function and property of which exceeds the similar product in domestic market. It uses the most authoritative and classical method of disinfectant testing－DPD spectrophotometry, which is completely the USEPA. It can help waterworks control the residual concentration of chlorite, which provides best security for drinking water.
