Setrifus (cetrifuge) merupakan alat yang biasa digunakan di laboratorium genetika atau medical. Dalam bentuk sederhana, centrifuge terdiri dari sebuah rotor dan motor atau alat yang memutar rotor dengan kecepatan tertentu. Rotor dilengkapi dengan lubang-lubang yang berfungsi untuk meletakkan wadah (biasanya berbentuk tabung) berisi sampel yang akan diuji.

Pada prinsipnya, perputaran atau rotasi pada sentrifus dimaksudkan agar larutan sampel yang akan diuji dapat terpisah menjadi dua fase berdasarkan perbedaan massa jenis. Dua fase itu meliputi supernatant yang berupa cairan dan pellet atau organel yang berada pada posisi bawah (mengendap). Semakin cepat rotasi pada rotor maka semakin banyak organel sel yang diendapkan.

Fulfilling basic function

Build on chemical resistance, it adopted magnet drive and tefron-coated chamber. Lid material which was a concern for large machine is PVC and acquires chemical resistance next to glass. Digitalize revolution and temperature to make condition of dry-condense more clearly. 

Leak automatic/ manual, nitrogen gas purge easily, circulation of cooling water is possible

Vacuum can be released automatically or manually. For sample which does not like to be oxidized, there is leak nozzle on back of the machine for easy connection to nitrogen gas bottle (connection to aspiration nozzle is also available by using three-way valve which is option). Condensing at low temperature is available by connecting circulation device.

Once you set operational conditions, you can call the same at once

You just call frequently used conditions and then press start button since temperature, revolution and time can be memorized at once, It is also possible to turn off heater on the way or to cancel timer by manual.

FreezDry (freeze dry) mode is equipped

When using oil-sealed rotary vacuum pump, watery sample may freeze by loss of latent heat from high vacuum though drying can be continued. To keep drying while maintains freezing, turn off heater and rotor and keep operating pump is required. This type of operation can be done automatically. It still need to discuss when stopping heater and rotor, it is convenient for in case of watery sample and concerning chemical resistance.
