Sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in the United States and approximately 92% of people who experience sudden cardiac arrest do not survive. The numbers grow each year, but many victims can be saved with the timely and proper use of AEDs and CPR administered through first responders until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive.
