Rotor dilengkapi dengan lubang-lubang yang berfungsi untuk meletakkan wadah (biasanya berbentuk tabung) berisi sampel yang akan diuji.

Pada prinsipnya, perputaran atau rotasi pada sentrifus dimaksudkan agar larutan sampel yang akan diuji dapat terpisah menjadi dua fase berdasarkan perbedaan massa jenis. Dua fase itu meliputi supernatant yang berupa cairan dan pellet atau organel yang berada pada posisi bawah (mengendap). Semakin cepat rotasi pada rotor maka semakin banyak organel sel yang diendapkan.

KJLC-I Centrifuge equips with brushless DC motor and microcomputer.
